London Heathrow Airport (LHR)
London Heathrow Airport is the largest and busiest airport in the United Kingdom and the fourth busiest airport in the world in terms of passenger traffic.
LHR is 22 kilometres to the west of London city centre and is at the edge of Greater London. The airport has five terminals and 3 runways. Terminal 2 has been closed for renovation since 2009. Over 90 airlines operate flights to over 170 destinations and the airport has a passenger presence of more than 90 million every year, the airport is a primary hub for BMI and British Airways and is a base for Virgin Atlantic Airways.
Train stations are found in terminals 1,2, 3 and 4. For every 15 minutes, trains operate to Paddington Station and it takes only 15 minutes to reach the station from the airport. The Heathrow Connect is also an ideal option, but doesn’t take off from terminal 4 and the travel time is 30 minutes. Passengers can travel to the west or southwest of England from Paddington station. The Piccadilly underground line ends at the airport.
Many bus services operate to and from Heathrow Airport. At all the terminals, there are stops for A2 Airbus that goes to King’s Cross Station. Night bus services operate in the N9 line. Almost all bus services have their stops in the centre of terminals.

Some car rental companies operate at the terminals 1, 2 and 3. You can also book a taxi with any company you prefer.

Short-term and long-term parking areas are available close to the terminals and a little away from the terminals, business car parking areas are also available a little away from short-term parking areas. Motorcycles can be parked in a separate area and charges differ according to the area in which you park and stay.
Many hotels are located close to the airport terminals and around the airport. You can make bookings for any hotel at the counters in the terminals. Shops and Restaurants
A wide range of shops, bars, restaurants and cafes are located in all terminals. There is an array of shops selling all kinds of accessories in all top brands. So, waiting time at Heathrow Airport is simply great.
All terminals have information counters and you can reach the counters for any general queries.
Business travellers have all amenities available in the airport terminals.The airport has 20 meeting rooms and 1 conference room. All the meeting rooms are supplied with computers with internet connection, copy machines, fax machines, equipment for video conferences etc. Many Airline companies offer lounge access to leisure and business travellers who are eligible for access.
Wheelchair ramps, adapted elevators, restrooms and telephones are available at all the terminals for those with special needs with parking and seating arranged made separately. Most bus services operate with wheel chairs.
