Royal Baby Boy for Kate and Prince William

The Royal couple prince William and Kate’s baby boy was born at 4:24pm on Monday and Prince William was by the bedside of his wife in the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in London.

The birth of the new heir was announced to the highly anticipated public by Kensington Palace.

The palace’s official statement said ‘Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 4.24 p.m. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.’ The official statement from the palace included ‘ Baby weighs 8 lbs 6 oz.’

Prince William and Kate’s Royal baby is third in line to the British Throne after Prince Charles and Prince William. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with this news.

The prince of Wales – Prince Charles is now a grandfather for the first time and he states “Both my wife and I are overjoyed at the arrival of my first grandchild. It is an incredibly special moment for William and Catherine and we are so thrilled for them on the birth of their baby boy.”

According to the tradition of the Royal family, a signed birth announcement was sent from the hospital to the Palace and the document was placed on an easel in the palace court after it was shown to the Queen.

The Prime Minister David Cameron announced the birth ‘an important moment in the spirit of our Nation’ and American President Obama and his wife Michelle is also very glad on the birth of a royal baby.

Prince William telephoned his father William Charles and his younger brother Prince Harry to inform this happy news before it was announced to public.
