Under normal circumstances, there are several options to travel from all terminals of the Heathrow to Central London. But this is not the case during the festive season. Travelling during the Christmas and New Year period in London demands meticulous planning.
The tube will not be working on Christmas day and limited special services will be running on all lines on Boxing Day. Between 27th and the afternoon of 31st Saturday or Sunday timetable will be followed for all lines. On the New Years Eve, Tube offers free transport from 11.30PM to 4.30 AM. On Jan1st Underground tube will follow the Sunday timetable.
Buses will experience Saturday service on Christmas Eve, no service on Christmas, will resume back normal services till the 31st and opt for a Sunday service on January 1. There will be no trains in service on the rail network on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, with a reduced service from December 27 until January 1.
Taxis and minicabs will be available for hire throughout the festive season. However they may charge an extra fee on Christmas and New Years Day.
