Virgin Atlantic is an airline under the ownership of Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Group (51%) and Singapore Airlines (49%). The airline has its headquarters in Crawley, West Sussex, England.

The airline operates flights between the United Kingdom and North America, the Caribbean, Africa, Australia and the Middle East. The airline has a mixed fleet of Airbus and Boeing wide-body aircraft. Virgin Atlantic has a CAA Type A Operating License for passenger, cargo and mail transfer on aircrafts.

Netherlands’ national airline KLM Royal Dutch Airlines was founded on 7 October 1919. It is also part of Air France-KLM and is headquartered in Amstelveen.

KLM is the world’s oldest airline running under the same name serving 33,000 employees. KLM operates passenger flights and cargo services to over 90 destinations.

In May 2004, KLM and Air France merged to form Air France-KLM headquartered at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. Both fly under their individual brand names and Air France-KLM is part of the SkyTeam alliance.

Australia’s national airline Qantas Airways Limited was founded on 16th November 1920 in Winton, Queensland. “The Flying Kangaroo” as it is nicknamed has its main hub at Sydney Airport. It is the largest airline in Australia and second oldest continuously operating airline in the world. It is headquartered at Qantas Centre in the Mascot suburb of the City of Botany Bay, Sydney, New South Wales.


Qantas was founded as Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services Limited.
