Malala Yousafzai is an icon of education and a world famous teenager who is an activist for education and women’s rights. She is a Pakistani school girl from the town of Mingora in the Swat District of Pakistan. Yousafzai started reacting when girls were banned from attending the school.

Yousafzai started to write about women’s life under the Taliban for BBC Urdu with a pseudonym and later spoke against the Taliban on the national current affairs show ‘Capital Talk’. She continually gave interviews and talks to various media and finally appeared on Television to support female education.

That was a major turning point in this young girl’s life and she also started receiving accolades and appreciations from various foundations, organizations, groups and lots more. Her fame raised one step higher when she was awarded Pakistan’s first National Youth Peace Prize, which was later renamed as The National Malala Peace prize.
